Growing to reach the lost

Would you be surprised to learn that over 4,000 men, women and children participated in ministry activities at Riverside Bible Camp (RBC) last year, either being served or serving? That number is higher than the previous year; a trend that has been growing for years and shows no sign of declining. Riverside Bible Camp is thriving in an era when many Christian camps are struggling.

Earlier this year the Riverside Bible Camp board of directors updated the organization’s strategic plan, outlining opportunities for expansion to serve even more individuals, possibly reaching 7,000 within the next three years. The plan includes adding beds, buildings and staff in order to continue to share the Gospel through this vital ministry. Such growth of course requires financial resources to fund them. As a result, and with the recognition that Darrie Nelson alone can’t carry the responsibility of raising these necessary financial resources, a stewardship committee has been created to assist Darrie in carrying out this critical component of the ongoing growth of Riverside Bible Camp.

What are some of the plans for growth and expansion?

About $3,000,000 over the next three years will need to be gifted by ministry supporters to enable Riverside to achieve these goals and continue to provide a cost compassionate Christian camp experience for those less fortunate. Would you pray with us and consider how God might use you to meet this need, either with a one-time or multi-year gift. If you know of someone who would be interested in becoming a supporter of Riverside, please share with them the need, or pass on their information to Darrie or a committee member.

Thank you for considering how you might be a part of being the light of Christ in this dark world!
