LIFT
Leaders Inspired For Truth or LIFT is a summer missionary staff position at Riverside Bible Camp for young adults ages 18 and up. LIFT is designed to meet the needs of Riverside’s Summer Programs and to teach how to be God-fearing, intentional, spiritually and emotionally mature leaders through the experience of Cabin Leading, Worship Leading, Biblical Story Telling, and activities such as Games, Crafts, Song, and dance, as well as on-site building and maintenance projects. This is a great summer mission for an outgoing, friendly, creative person who wants to be used as an instrument to further the work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Do you have special qualifications such as Lifeguard or First Responder Certification, Musical abilities, love of children, or Organizational skills? Would you consider using those skills to make the ultimate difference in someone's life this Summer? Pray about it!

Cost
There is no cost to be a LIFT student. Room and Board for the summer are provided. When camp is not in session, Riverside provides the money for the groceries and the LIFTers get the chance to work together to plan, grocery shop, and cook each meal.
Pay & Raising Support
All LIFT students are paid a fixed weekly rate; however, each student has the opportunity to earn even more than that. LIFTers are asked to raise support throughout the summer, and like any summer mission, all of the financial support raised is given to the LIFT Student. The goal of each LIFTer is to raise enough to cover the $210 a week that they are paid. This is around $2,100 for the whole summer. However, if you raise more than that, then you get paid more than that. Additionally, each year you serve on LIFT the base weekly pay will increase.
Testimonies
Kayla Sytsma shares her experience as a LIFTer in 2022:
Hi! My name is Kayla Sytsma, and I served summer on LIFT, and it changed my life. I loved being able to serve the kids that came to Riverside this summer- from helping on the farm to programming to cabin leading. God was definitely at work.
My favorite moment was one night during junior high camp, there was one camper who had been struggling that week with connecting to other campers and cabin leaders. After chapel one night, I shared some life experiences I went through when I was younger and I watched God use those situations in my own life to impact her.
Between camp itself, and the time I got to spend with my fellow LIFTers, I made memories and friendships I will never forget.
Drew Nelson shares his experience as a LIFTer in 2023:
My name is Drew Nelson, I have served on LIFT at Riverside for the past 2 years and they have been two of my favorite summers to date. I have attended and served at Riverside all my life and being able to lead, console, and help plan different aspects of the summer was so fulfilling. Being able to make friends with fellow LIFTers, building each other up, sharing struggles and successes over the summer, there is nothing quite like all the memories, fun times, and spiritual growth that you will make at camp.
Ultimately serving on LIFT is about creating a space for campers to grow in their faith and to know who God is. There are so many sweet moments that I have gotten to share with campers, getting to know them, seeing them decide to put Jesus at the forefront of their lives, and experiencing the change that it has on their lives through the week. I am so glad that I was able to serve on LIFT to experience these things.
